Tamil
It was an exciting week for the children. Learning to drape a saree, delivering their own speech, performing a dance act were few of the individual activities. The children sure did enjoy the English subtitled movie and sweet meats brought by each one of them.
Not only did they learn about the language but also were able to build actively engaged. To end it with a happy note, it was amazing to see the performers present and perform on the assembly day.
Mandarin
Students were engaged in many fun activities such as Chinese games, a Chinese movie and a Chinese food station (organised by the students to enjoy authentic Chinese food).
All the Mandarin students actively participated during the MFL Week and gained lot of new experiences not only on the language itself but also massive Chinese culture.
French
Students used the last three lessons of the term to enjoy special activities; a French film with English subtitles, a treasure hunt with prizes from France and French food brought by the students. A special mention goes to students who went the extra mile to bake or cook themselves.
In addition, the Year 10 students visited the Café Français where they enjoyed a delicious French meal and interviewed the chef, in French!
The MFL Team would like to thank all the participants, especially those who plucked the courage to perform in front of the whole School!
