On Friday 28th May, Year 3 held a Bake Sale to raise money for the Music Project.
The children were extremely excited and had been planning their pitch carefully. They had to decide what they were bringing, how to price it, whether there would be any special offers on multiple purchases and how to serve it. If they priced their goods too high then there was a risk that less people would buy them. If they priced them too low then they might sell more but not make as much money. There were some difficult decisions to be made!
On the day, it seemed that there were lots of hungry people as the children sold a lot of food. In total they made a very impressive Rs 61,828 from selling baked goods alone, and over Rs 130,000 including the non-uniform money. It was wonderful to be able to practise their money skills as well as raise such a lot for a very worthy charity.
Well done, Year 3!
