It has been a busy few weeks with sport, and the fixtures and tournaments keep on coming. The BSC Cricket, Swimming, Football and Basketball teams have all been in action and have been successful. The question is, how do we measure success?

We had many swimmers representing us at the Inter School Swimming Championship with some students achieving personal best times, some winning medals, (more than ever before) and some giving their absolute best, all of this is commendable and deserves to be acknowledged and recognised, whether this comes in the form of a medal or sincere appreciation from our community or intrinsically, it's still success. What I was most proud of the Swimming was how the team demonstrated unity, respect and a positive and joyful spirit.

Our U13 Cricket team are still in the National tournament and have produced some excellent displays again conducting themselves with composure, skill, respect and hard work. All these values are a measure of success and will serve our students well throughout their lives.

Our basketball U19 boys and girls took time out of their busy schedule to participate for their school and the boys gave everything in a very competitive tournament played at a high standard. The girls have their semi-final to look forward to, remember, winning isn't everything, but trying your best is?

Finally, our Football teams have achieved 1st place at the COMBOS tournaments and demonstrated how to win graciously and respect those whom they played against.

I will take this opportunity to thank everyone involved with school sport and to encourage you all to keep on enjoying and playing with passion.

Good luck to all those teams still in tournaments, Go Lions!
