Science forms part of the core curriculum in all year groups and we use Cambridge Primary schemes of work to deliver the British national curriculum for science.
Relevant hands-on activities are carefully chosen to ensure that pupils find the knowledge and understanding in this subject interesting and accessible. Practical work, therefore, has a main role in the learning of this subject for all year groups.
Topics are taught which are pertinent to the children’s everyday life, giving them the skills of enquiry, collecting, recording, analysing and reporting data that are the essential foundations on which senior school science will be built.
